The Scanimalz from Wicked Fun Toys were on the loose at the annual Time to Play toy showcase in New York. The plush characters, which sport names like Barkcode and Pigabyte, have QR codes on their bellies. When scanned with a smartphone or tablet armed with the free Scanimalz Android or iOS app, they unlock various games and challenges. Each plush animal unlocks different games and players can collect points which can be traded in for special "power ups." $9.99
